Shane Watson Appointed as the Head Coach of Quetta Gladiators

Quetta Gladiators have appointed former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, as the head coach of the franchise for the upcoming 2024 edition.

This is the first coaching change for the Gladiators since the tournament began. Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan, who spent eight years in the coaching ranks, will now take over as the team’s coach.

Through the first four editions, the Gladiators emerged as the most reliable team in the PSL. They have reached the final three times and won the 2019 title.

After a two-year stint with Islamabad United, he became a key player for Gladiators in 2018 and played a vital role in the team’s success

His three-year tenure with the franchise through 2020 cemented his status as arguably their greatest overseas player.

It is to be noted that the HBL Pakistan Super League Player Draft 2024 will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

The list of potential foreign players for the upcoming tournament has been released, revealing an unprecedented number of 254 international cricketers
