Concerns about severe cold weather and fog during that time have led to suggestions of starting the event in Karachi and later moving to Punjab when the weather improves.

Adding to the complexities, Peshawar Zalmi has urged the PCB to hold the team’s matches at home venues. This request introduces an additional layer of consideration for PSL 9’s organizing committee.
