Shoaib Malik and Wasim Akram Advise Naseem Shah on Comeback Strategy

In a heartfelt exchange of guidance, veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik and former fast bowler Wasim Akram have extended their advice to Pakistan’s young pace sensation, Naseem Shah. The seasoned players emphasize the importance of prioritizing rehabilitation and returning to international cricket only when fully fit.

While speaking on a local media channel, Shoaib particularly mentions Indian gamers as examples who’ve efficiently made comebacks after recovering from injuries.

In other words, Waseem argues that the right-wing movement should take responsibility for its own decision-making. He cites Shah’s wealth of experience in international cricket, which began with the Under-19s.

“He has to educate himself as well, he has traveled all over the world, he has played cricket internationally from U-19 for Pakistan, he has to be able to make his own decisions,” Waseem Akram said.

It may be noted that the 20-year-old got injured during the crucial Asia Cup 2023 match against India.

In the 46th over of the decider, Naseem had to come off the reserve day due to an injury near his bowling shoulder.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) soon realized the gravity of the injury, which forced Shah to withdraw from both the Asia Cup tournament and the 2023 World Cup and named Hasan Ali as his replacement.
