Imad Wasim announces retirement from International cricket

Pakistan’s leading all-rounder Imad Wasim has announced his retirement from international cricket. He shared the news with his followers on social media through a heartfelt message.

“In the last few days, I have been thinking a lot about my international career and I have come to the conclusion that now is the right time to announce my retirement from international cricket.”

Imad has displayed versatile batting and bowling skills in various forms. In ODIs, he has scored nearly 1000 runs at a strong average of 42.86, while in T20s, his strike rate of 131.70 stands out.

His long career in first-class cricket reflects an impressive average of 40.68 in 77 matches. In List A cricket, he scored over 2,600 runs with two centuries and 16 fifties.

How effective Imad is as a bowler is evident. In ODIs, he picked up 44 wickets with his best figures of 5/14 and 65 wickets in T20Is at an average of 21.78. First Class A list records also showcase his bowling prowess with wickets of 141 and 130. He picked up an impressive 290 wickets in T20Is.
